A few months ago, Helse Nord-Trøndelag reported on a successful pilot project at Namsos Hospital. The project involved the hospital's cafeteria implementing technology in the form of a procurement system. The kitchen estimates that the portal could save them hundreds of thousands of kroner on purchases annually, and the results are transferable to large kitchens in other public sectors such as daycare centers, schools, and prisons.

 

Better Procurement Prices

Namsos Hospital quickly noticed the benefits of using the portal. They have particularly experienced the advantage of having access to negotiated prices from their suppliers. There can be a significant difference between contract prices and the prices they pay. In fact, the difference is so substantial that the Namsos kitchen estimates they can save several hundred thousand kroner annually by using technology from Millum.
